Frequent new releases of fashion collections promote over-consumption and over-production. This leads to more textile waste each year.

Unsold goods are a source of textile waste. Each year, between 10,000 and 20,000 tons of textile products are destroyed in France (the equivalent of one to two Eiffel Towers).
